Celebrity chef Paula McIntyre has been confirmed as the special guest at this year’s Bushmills Salmon & Whiskey Festival.

The celebration, which is built on the village’s most famous produce, returns on Saturday 9th June and 10th June promising two days of fantastic entertainment.

Paula will showcase her unique kitchen style in the festival’s Cookery Theatre, located in Main Street car park, on Saturday with a range of local chefs lined up for further live demonstrations on Sunday.

Alongside the ‘foodie’ focus, visitors can expect live music and dance performances and an array of the very best of handcrafted products at Naturally North Coast and Glens Artisan Market. There’ll also be a family fun zone and street performers throughout the weekend.

The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Councillor Joan Baird OBE said: “Bushmills is known across the world for its salmon and whiskey so we are delighted to work with the local community to celebrate this. It promises to be a terrific two-day festival and the programme of events on offer will really bring the story of the village to life. We are looking forward to sharing it with our visitors over the weekend.”

At Bushmills Distillery, the oldest working facility of its kind in Ireland, hear about its four centuries of history or find out more about the salmon life cycle, one of nature’s wonders, through a series of free talks, tours and demonstrations at the Salmon Station on Church Street.

To whet your appetite, the Festival marquee will host a ‘Bushmills Banquet’ on Friday night (June 8th) organised by members of Bushmills Business Association.

This collaborative event will celebrate the very best of the region’s food, drink and warm hospitality.  Further information and tickets are available from local outlets including The French Rooms, Therapy Style Studio and Tartine at Distillers Arms.
