Call for local businesses to register online, for FREE Alchemy Business Mentoring support with the extended Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council project. Council is re-launching the Alchemy business mentoring support programme across the new extended Causeway Coast and Glens Borough to support the businesses in the new Borough. The Mayor of the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough, Councillor Michelle Knight-McQuillan said, “The Alchemy model has proven to be a great success in recent years and provides focused support centred on the specific individual needs of local businesses in order to improve their competitiveness. “Council encourages local businesses to join ‘Project Alchemy’ by simply registering online. The programme will offer advice and guidance towards a tailored support package. “It aims to stimulate growth and increase the competitiveness of the Northern Ireland economy by making local economic development support accessible, meaningful and flexible for all local businesses. “Businesses signing up to Alchemy, will receive a range of benefits such as: access to free impartial mentoring from professionals; networking opportunities; up to five days FREE bespoke mentor support/consultancy (depending on need) delivered by industry professionals; and opportunities to grow with professional support, which can help to identify key areas for development and improvement. “Project Alchemy is a unique initiative, aimed at delivering business support to single owners and small to medium enterprise organisations throughout the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area. Many will recognise the value in this project and I encourage those within the Borough to contact the team in Council to discuss the opportunities available.” Invest NI’s North West Regional Manager, Des Gartland said “The Alchemy Programme is geared to offer businesses bespoke support and in recent years has proved to be a valuable resource for new and established businesses in the region. “The Programme will promote networking in the area and give participants the confidence and skills to create sustainable businesses. I would encourage any business seeking opportunities to grow with professional support to register interest”. Council endeavours to ensure that businesses which do not meet the Alchemy criteria are signposted to other support opportunities available. The Alchemy team will assist these businesses and help identify relevant opportunities which could be provided through one or more of Council’s partners and support agencies.
