Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council was pleased to support one of Northern Ireland’s main festivals of the summer, ‘Stendhal Festival of Art’ which took place on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th August at Ballymully Cottage Farm in Limavady. The multi-award winning festival boasted some of the finest musical talent, including sixties legend, icon and poet ‘Donovan’ amongst its vast line up, in its fifth year running. With something for everyone, the event included music, arts and entertainment. Festival Director, Ross Parkhill said, "A massive thank you to everyone who came along to Stendhal last weekend to enjoy what was unquestionably our greatest line up of entertainment to date. “We feel it was clear to everyone who attended why Stendhal has been voted Ireland’s best small festival for the last two years and believe we will be strongly in the running to win it for the third year in a row. A special word of thanks goes out to all of our volunteers who continue to go above and beyond for Stendhal, without them we could not put on a show of such scale and they are a credit to the festival, Limavady and Northern Ireland. “As we reflect on another outstanding event and allow the woodlands and karma valley to return to its natural state, our attention has already turned to filling the arena with art, comedy, music, love and laughter once again for 2016.” Halfords of Coleraine supported this year’s Stendhal Festival by giving away a special family camping package, including tent, airbeds, sleeping bags, camping light and powerpack to ensure one lucky competition winner could enjoy the full Stendhal experience as a family with a family weekend ticket. Area Manager of Halfords, Stephen Douthart said, “Summer is a great time for families and friends to come together and enjoy the outdoors. At Halfords we’re here to help make that time special and hassle-free. “Stendhal Festival of Art is a unique experience, and once again this year promised to be a great event with a fantastic line up. Halfords is proud to support our local Arts and community. To celebrate this great event, and help our customers with their journey this summer we were proud to give away the family camping package for Stendhal.” The Stendhal Festival of Art is open to all ages, families and has facilities for overnight camping, including Glamping.
