The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council has held a special celebration of traditional music and dance.

The event in Cloonavin on Thursday 5th December was attended by some of those who enjoyed success at the 2019 Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Drogheda.

Guests were entertained by performances from:

Ballycastle 4-Hand Céilí Dancers
Niamh Mooney (Rasharkin, Irish Harp)
Sinéad Ní Cluasaigh (Glenullin, Irish Harp)
Ceoltóirí Crosskeys Music Group
Conrad Ó Coisneacháin, Ballycastle (Uilleann Pipes)

The Mayor Councillor Sean Bateson said: “The Causeway Coast and Glens area is home to a vibrant traditional music community, and this reception was an opportunity to showcase and recognise this. Musicians and dancers from the area enjoyed outstanding success at this year’s Fleadh and my congratulations goes to all those who performed, along with their mentors and teachers. Our young participants deserve a special mention for their musical talent and their successes should be whole heartedly commended.”
