The Ould Lammas Fair takes place annually in Ballycastle on the last Monday and Tuesday of August.  The Lammas Fair traditionally attracts thousands of people and features, among other attractions, a large street market. Council regulates street trading for stalls at the Ould Lammas Fair in accordance with the Street Trading Act (N.I.) 2001 and issue street trading licences for stationary pitches and mobile traders on sections of the following designated streets:

  • Ann Street – arts, crafts & speciality foods only.
  • Beechwood Avenue
  • Glentaisie Drive
  • Leyland Road
  • Market Street
  • Quay Road
  • Seafront
  • The Diamond

Anyone interested in trading at the Fair should complete a Lammas Fair Waiting List Application Form providing as much detail as possible.  A new waiting list is created every year so traders must apply annually.

The 2022 Lammas Fair Watining List will open Tuesday 4th January 2022.  Please note that existing traders from the 2019 Lammas Fair will be offered their pitch/(es) from that year.  Please do not complete a Waiting List Application Form unless you wish to change location or require an additional pitch.

Council will contact traders from the waiting list to offer a trading pitch if there is availability.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the trader to provide their own stall and any required power supply.  Council provides gazebos for pitches on the arts, crafts & speciality food section on Ann Street ONLY at Pitches 2-13.
