Did you know that October is Positive Ageing Month?
This October, Age Friendly Causeway is celebrating Positive Ageing Month 2026 with the theme “What’s on your doorstep?”
Throughout the month, a wide range of activities, events and opportunities will take place across the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough, highlighting the people, places, services and activities that help make our communities great places to live and grow older.
From opportunities to get active and stay connected, to intergenerational activities, community events, information sessions and opportunities to have your voice heard, there is something for everyone to enjoy and get involved in.
The Positive Ageing Month 2026 booklet is more than a calendar of October events. It has been designed as a useful, year-round resource, bringing together information about groups, activities and opportunities available across the borough throughout the year. It also provides information about the Age Friendly Partnership and its members, helping older residents find out who is working locally to support age friendly communities and how they can get involved.
The theme “What’s on your doorstep?” encourages us to look beyond October and discover the opportunities, connections and support that are already available within our local communities.
