The Department for Communities has made available additional funding support to provide resources to established organisations that are currently providing food poverty interventions and need additional resources to cope with increased demand for their services during the incoming months.

The fund will allow community and voluntary orgnaisations to support citizens who face real financial challenges, highlighted by the economic impacts of Covid and provide support such as:- 

  • Family/individual support packages, including food and other household essentials
  • Cooked meal provision
  • Increasing community food providers infrastructure including additinal storage and covering Fareshare membership fees.

Funded activities can take place up to 31st March 2022.
