Proposed development on coastal pathway and viewing platforms at Magheracross Consultation
Consultation on the proposed development on coastal pathway and viewing platforms at Magheracross, Dunluce Rd, Bushmills BT56 8NB
Assessment of Magheracross car park/viewing point has concluded that the site is ideally positioned for both a trail head for the Causeway Coast Way and as a ‘stunning’ viewpoint for the car touring route known as the Causeway Coastal Route.
Causeway Coast and Glens are currently applying for funding to develop
Provision of a new cliff top path around the edge of the existing Magheracross car park site.
Installation of purpose-built state-of-the-art viewing platforms, projecting seawards (approximately 5 metres in length) from the cliff top at the eastern extremity of the car park site, together with sensitive landscaping proposals to soften the existing car park site.
Creation of four coach parking bays and turning facility within existing car park, including associated landscaping.
