My love of politics here came from the work of 2 great men David Trimble and John Hume and the unfaultering support of their wonderful wives Daphne and Pat. Men who had the foresight and courage to step forward in the most difficult times and take our wonderful country forward. I’m so sorry to here about the passing of Mr Trimble. He will forever be written in our history as a peacemaker and co-architect of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement and rightly so. Condolences to Mrs Trimble and the entire family circle.. R.I.P Mr Trimble.

COLM Murphy

Sincere condolences on the loss of a brave, visionary man, who put the long term future of all the people on the island ahead of his own interests. May future generations never forget his leadership and that of John Hume and others. May this bring solace to his family at this difficult time.

Shirley McPhillimy

We are all indebted to David Trimble and people like him who risked so much to bring all parties especially those involved in violence to the table .He was often misunderstood as he made the journey towards peace while bringing the majority of people with him. We owe it to him to build on this hard won legacy and continue to work towards peace in our everyday lives. Sincere condolences and prayers to his family who will miss him most.
